Tuscaloosa County High School - Northport, AL
|
| The Tuscaloosa County cheerleaders feel that it is their primary job to ensure
that traditions, pride, and school spirit are carried out from one year to the next. Therefore, they come up with
new ideas each year that encourage students to have pride and love for TCHS. Not only do they want to promote school
spirit, but the group feels it is their responsibility to support their athletic teams, take pride in their school,
focus on academic work, and serve their community. "The young ladies that comprise this team are some of the
most outstanding young ladies at TCHS," says Principal, Steve Benson. "The Tuscaloosa High School cheerleaders
conduct themselves with class, pride, honor, and dignity." |
| The Cats feel that academics are one of the most important aspects of being
a leader and role model at school, and they have several honors they've been awarded scholastically. Their 2006
senior class was awarded over $100,000 combined in college scholarship money before graduating. Seven juniors and
seniors were ranked in the top five percentile of their class. |
